Heavens to Mergatroy, the Great Gazoo is gay?
Not to be a word nerd, even...
But in writing that post I looked up Snagglepuss' phrase, having no idea where it could have come from... and it's "Heavens to Mergatroyd", coined by Mr. Cowardly Lion himself, Bert Lahr. And it apparently has its roots in Gilbert and Sullivan. It can't get a much more gay origin than musical theater, can it?
