SPX Time and The Goodies

This Saturday and Sunday I'll be at SPX in Bethesda, Maryland at table H11 beside my pal (and amazing cartoonist/illustrator/designer) Mark Burrier.

I'll have with the just-released postcard collection So-So Heroes as well as the Limited Edition of Life with Mr. Dangerous (a slightly less involved version of which I just put up on The Forlorn Funnies Store).

When I'm not at that table remembering that I forgot to eat lunch, I'll be signing over at Fantagraphics (5:30 to 7 on Saturday, 4:30 to 6 on Sunday). If you're in the vicinity of either of those tables, stop by, say hello, and tell me about that wonderful sandwich you just had.

Post-MoCCA, Only Casch

Thanks to everyone who stopped by at MoCCA and said hello, had me sign their books, or confused me with janitorial staff. I appreciate you, one and all.

Special thanks to those who took pictures (I ripped off the below pictures of me with Leslie Stein and Ted Stearn from Fantagraphics and Leslie's Flickr page), the inimitable Jason Polan for drawing me (above) and pointing out a remarkable sign (also below), and Joe Ollman for winning the Person-I-should-have-met-earlier-in-comics-on-account-of-he's-a-super-nice-guy award. The trophy for that award features some really cramped typesetting.

MoCCA Signings and Whereabouts

If you're in New York this weekend, be sure to stop by the MoCCA festival, where persons of varying repute and hair sculpture will be feverishly signing and slinging comics.

Below is the information on the signing schedule at Fantagraphics (tables J1,J2, K1, and K2) where I'll be for an hour each day. I'll also be floating by Random House's set up, wherever that will be, as they should have a preview of next month's Life with Mr. Dangerous.

If you don't catch me at either of those, just throw a homemade plush doll of Doctor Who at me while I'm trying to find a water fountain.

See you there.

MoCCA 2011

In a last minute addition to increasingly nutty travel plans, I'll be attending this year's MoCCA Festival in New York, April 9th and 10th. I'll be signing at Fantagraphics table and will occasionally be at Random House's, where rumor has it some conglomeration of pages/print-outs resembling my new book will be found. More exact signing times, etc. will be posted when I have them.

C2E2, This Saturday

Today marks the beginning of C2E2 in Chicago and I'll be joining in the frenzy, albeit briefly.

While I'll be walking around today looking around at old toys and back issues of "Jimmy Olsen" and "Dotty Dripple and Taffy," I'll be sitting in one place taking your complaints and signing your dog from 2 to 4 tomorrow. I'll be housed by the reputable people of Chicago Comics, booth 526 (according to the current floor plan). Stop by, say hello, and demand that I stop using that high pitched voice when I talk with your dog.

Why did you bring so many dogs anyway?

Into The Depths of SPACE

This weekend I'll be at the SPACE convention in Columbus, Ohio, my old haunt and comics roots. As is always the case with SPACE, I'll be bringing all the oddities out. So if there's a weird print, book, t-shirt, sticker, or who-knows-what-else that you're looking for, get to Columbus or swindle a C-bus townie, since this is the only convention where any of that work still sees the light of day.

If you do make it to the convention, be sure to stop by the panel that I'm participating in along with the venerable and aforeposted Jim Rugg, Sean McKeever, and Guy Davis. That's at 1 o'clock on Sunday. Otherwise, I'll be at my table feverishly drawing background plates for a secret something and eating inadvisable convention nachos.

See you in Ohio with cheese on my collar.
