This week's shirt at the Forlorn Funnies Shirt Shop forces the new parents out there to answer that timeless question: just how metal is your baby? Yes, there are onesies this week (I blame my newborn niece for this). But for you loners, there's a dark hooded sweatshirt thrown into the batch too, so take solace in that.

This week also begins slightly different pricing: the current week's shirts and goods will be lower priced (most regular shirts will be $15). The next week, those designs will go up to $20 (again, for standard shirts). I openly admit to ripping off other shirt sites with this pricing structure, but I think it gives the early adopters a chance to feel less screwed than when they're, say, buying the latest iPud or iBurped or whatever it is that came out that week.

Goodbye Wall Street, Hello Catwalk

So that I can focus on more projects that are in gestation, I've stopped working on the Wall Street Journal's blog (which I've been posting here each week for the past two months). But that doesn't mean it's the end of a weekly feature here on the blog.

Each Thursday I'll be posting a new t-shirt design on the Forlorn Funnies Shirt Shop. How long each design will survive on the site will depend on the response it gets and/or how depressing or hilarious I personally think it is. The shirts will range from pure illustrations to pure text, some will have a relationship to my books, but most will simply be ridiculous, to one degree or another.

The first shirt is up today. More to come next week.

Put Some Clothes On Already

After a couple months of testing graphics, washing and re-washing test prints from different vendors, putting to rest any doubts about longevity and quality, and just generally being prissy and picky, I'm relieved to finally launch The Forlorn Funnies Shirt Shop.

The shirts are individually digitally printed, to produce an exceptionally solid quality (a bit of a surprise for silkscreen snobs such as myself) that I would liken to old school iron-ons. Currently there are only two designs up for the various products, but more will be soon to follow. Until then, happy wearing.

To celebrate Halloween here on the blog, I'm posting a few (thus far unused) drawings and designs for t-shirts from this year and last year. These may see the light of day at some point in the near future, as I have plans to launch a t-shirt site sometime soon. But for now, enjoy some monster graphics free of charge.
